Dionysia 2009 has commissioned Jean-Pierre Got, a French artist living in Bordeaux, to create its official poster. The result is a new take on Greece’s traditional relation to wine, with the image of a nymph leaping out of an amphora with a bunch of grapes in her hand. Jean-Pierre Got has created scores of wine posters for both private wineries and various wine organizations, many of them in California. He will be exhibiting 50 of his original creations at Dionysia this year and will be there to sign his posters. 250 official Dionysia posters, signed by the artist, will be on sale for 25 euros each.
